Some more news from Ipswich
We’ve been here in Ipswich for almost two months now. Time has gone by quite fast and things are settling quite well. We’ve got Internet, telephone, no TV yet but we’re waiting anyways to move and then get satellite. We still have to sort out things with the bank since we don’t like the one I opened an account with right after coming here. And almost everything is unpacked with lots of things in a rented storage place.
So we started right with the next big step, namely getting a house. And we were already successful in finding a place in Colchester. That means of course moving again but we knew this since the rental place was always meant as a temporary solution. The house is really nice and we’re so looking forward to moving in. But unfortunately things can still go wrong. We need to get the mortgage settled and the seller can still jump off the deal since offer acceptance is not binding here in UK. That’s annoying and leaves us in an unsettled position for a bit until the actual contracts will be signed. But we hope to be through this soon and we’ll put some more news on this online once it’ll be a done deal.
Now we’re trying to get ready for a two day trip to London. We’ve got a concert to go to and will then enjoy the city a bit. From there, I’ll be going directly to the airport for a trip to Philadelphia (without Dana unfortunately), just a couple of days though.
